several haiku
rising toward dawn,
mountain peak stretching skyward,
a captive dancer
business: clashing thrones,
emails and calls, all to make
others do your job
a space-faring koi
swims in a helmet of glass
struggling to stretch
I’ve not “quiet quit,”
I’m just not interested
in your opinion.
failure:
proof others
find you trying
clock hands swift across
the circle’s edge –
a Nascar circuit
beneath cherry trees,
petals gracing soft wet earth:
the journey ends here
